Linux driver for the Anycom Bluetooth cards |
|
| by Marcel Holtmann |
This is the driver for PCMCIA and Compact Flash Bluetooth cards from Anycom. The driver will work the Linux BlueZ Bluetooth stack and kernel PCMCIA support (yenta_socket). While the driver version 0.1 is for the BlueZ 1.x series and also the Bluetooth support included in the Linux kernel up to 2.4.18, the version 0.2 of the driver only works with the BlueZ 2.x stack.
The version 0.3 is for BlueZ 2.0-pre7 and the Kernel 2.4.19. With the release of the development kernel 2.5.14 the driver version 0.4 and the BlueZ 2.0 stack are part of the 2.5 kernel series.
The latest version 0.5 is part of the Linux kernel 2.4.20-pre1 and the development kernel 2.5.30.
The first kernel with preliminary support for the Anycom CF-300 is 2.6.6-rc2 and above.
The Linux Card Services have to be configured to use this driver if a LSE039 or LSE041 card is plugged in. The following lines have to be added to the file /etc/pcmcia/config:
device "bluecard_cs" module "bluecard_cs" card "LSE041 Bluetooth PC Card" version "BlueCard", "LSE041" bind "bluecard_cs" card "LSE039 Bluetooth Compact Flash Card" version "WSS", "LSE039" bind "bluecard_cs" card "LSE139 Bluetooth Compact Flash Card" version "BTCFCARD", "LSE139" bind "bluecard_cs" |
Another way to enable the cards in the Linux Card Services is to copy the file bluecard.conf in the directory /etc/pcmcia.
