Without doubt Shirley Temple is the Queen of the child stars. To the day I leave this earth I will love all the calmness she brings me when I watch her movies over and over again. No matter what goes wrong in a day with my life, watching her seems to totally relax me and makes me forget I had a "bad" day. She is the person of this century!!!

When she was little she had "pretty" curly hair. She also has a good singing voice. It's to bad that when she grew older she didn't have success with her movies. I watched Shirley Temple movies as a child and she was my idol. I tap danced and thought I looked just like her with my curls. I still have my original doll from 1957. I admire her acomplishments as an adult and marvel that she remained so humble despite her fame as a child. But I still identify mostly with Shirley as a child.

I love all of Shirley Teemples movies. I have always wanted a Shirley Teemple doll. I started to talk to my mother about Shirley Temple dolls and I found out that she always wanted a Shirley Temple doll. Heer mother ddied when she was seven years old and she was veery hurt by this. There was an add that ran in the Nashville Banner or Tennessen newspapers and it said if you sale so many subcribtions you could win a shirley temple doll so my mother sold the right number,but some one did not pay their bill so she did not get the doll.
My mother told her Father that she wanted a Shirley Teemple doll, but he bought somthing else for her at christmas. My mother never ask for anything speical again. She is in her seventies and wwhen she told me this story she started to cry now I am trying to find her a doll like she wanted, but I can not pay 2,000 dollars where could I start looking. Only answer this if you really have some idea.

I grew up watching Shirley Temple movies. Every Sunday after church I would watch them while eating breakfast with my family. She was the most adorable little child I've ever seen on television and to this day have not seen a child star the equals her talent, beauty or charisma. I am trying to collect all of her movies to save for when I have children, so that they might enjoy her too.
